Time: Meet at 10.15am for a 10.30 start

Location: Outside Costa Coffee, Ocean Retail Park, Burrfields Road PO3 5HH

Public Transport: No 19 bus stop, Burrfields Road (new bus route from city centre)

Details: This is a leisurely paced circular walk, slightly over 2 miles in length. We will visit the newest section of sea defences next to Langstone Harbour to explore new planting, signage and measures to support wildlife as well as bird spotting. The circular route will cross Great Salterns recreation ground and pass Portsea Island’s only river. There will be an opportunity to buy an ice cream en route, and we hope you will join us for a coffee back at Ocean Retail Park. Please note that part of the walk is next to busy roads and one section will cross rough ground.

The walk is promoting the launch of the number 19 bus route from the city centre to Ocean Retail Park. (Catch the 9.40 bus at Stop D from Portsmouth City Centre Shops South) .

Places are free, but please book so we can get an idea of how many people to expect.
