Join us on Saturday 17 August.
Portsmouth Friends of the Earth and The Portsmouth Society are jointly hosting a walk around Cosham and Wymering – two former villages (both now large residential areas) – in the north of Portsmouth. The walk will include a rare chance to see inside Wymering Manor – a Tudor manor house reputed to be the most haunted in Britain – and St Peter and St Paul’s Church, the oldest Church in Portsmouth.
Meeting at 9:45 for a 10am start. Meetup near Cosham Railway Station, just south of the level crossing on Cosham High Street, by the large grey block of flats under the neon sign “Anytime Fitness” PO6 2AE.
Arrive by train at the Railway Station or by bus nearby on Northern Road (KGV Playing Fields stop).
It will be a 2 mile circular walk finishing at a nice local coffee
shop near to Cosham Railway Station.
The walk is free-of-charge but we ask that all participants make a small donation to the Manor and to the Church, both of which will be opening specially for us.
Tickets are free but limited, so please book on the link here
