Rising Tide: our vulnerable island & planet walk – Weds 27 October 10:15am

Join us for a short walk along the seafront exploring the many places where the sea has attacked our coast.

We’ve organised this walk in support of the Portsmouth Climate Festival.

With more frequent storms occurring because of climate change we are fortunate to have new sea defences being built. Find out more about our vulnerability both here in Southsea and around the globe.

Book here as places are limited.

This is a linear 2 mile walk ending at Bath Square, where there are several cafes and pubs for refreshment.

Be sure to wrap up warm and bring waterproof clothing if necessary. The walk will take place at high tide so we may have to dodge spray from the occasional wave! This event will be cancelled in the event of a storm but will go ahead if the weather is showery.

Please do not attend if you have Covid symptoms.

Meet up at 10:15 at Speakers’ Corner, behind the Briny PO5 3PG.
