Read about Oxford City Council’s great plans to introduce a Zero Emissions Zone here.
We attended a very encouraging talk today by Councillor Tom Hayes Cabinet Member for Zero Carbon at Oxford City Council to talk on 12 January 2020 about this zone and lots of other encouraging measures that Oxford is taking to reduce its carbon footprint and improve the air quality.
These include pop-up electric vehicle charging points, bringing all buses to Euro 6 engine standard or becoming electric, electric taxis, converting the council’s vehicles to electric, low carbon hubs and many more inspiring schemes.
He also answered questions about how we can learn from their work to reduce emissions and air pollution here in Portsmouth.
